Egg Harbor Library Reaches $5.5 Million in Donations

The Campaign Leadership Team of the Donald and Carol Kress Pavilion, the new library and community center project in Egg Harbor, is pleased to announce it has passed an important milestone. “We are proud to share that as of today, more than $5.5 million has been raised for the Donald & Carol Kress Pavilion,” said Judy Ortiz, a member of the Leadership Team. “More precisely, the people of Door County have contributed $5,506,823. With the continued support of the community we hope to complete this campaign and begin construction soon.”

“The Kress Pavilion Design Committee has worked diligently through a value engineering process to reduce the cost and increase the quality of the structure,” said Bart Ahern, Leadership Team member. “Our architects estimate a total cost of $6 million for this project. That means we only need a little more help from the community to reach our goal so we can proceed with construction.” The Kress Pavilion will offer a state-of-the-art library and business center, with an upper level event space for meetings, conferences, library activities, children’s programs, movie nights, card clubs, and family and business gatherings. The Kress Pavilion will also have a kitchen in the upper level. To make a donation or for more information on the Donald and Carol Kress Pavilion, visit KressPavilion.org.
