Egg Harbor Seeks Input Through Trails Survey

The Village of Egg Harbor, in partnership with the Town of Egg Harbor and Town of Gibraltar, is seeking community feedback on a proposed series of four off-road, multi-use trails that would connect the Village of Egg Harbor with surrounding neighborhoods and municipalities. The walking, cycling and running trails would cover approximately 11 miles and connect Fish Creek to Egg Harbor.

“This is a community effort and public participation is essential,” said John Heller, Village of Egg Harbor President. “Feedback from the survey will help guide the process as we work to create more connected communities.”

The Village is asking residents and visitors to share their thoughts, insights, and concerns on the proposed trails through a community survey. The survey asks respondents about their current transportation habits, their needs and preferences for safe and accessible trails, and their support for the overall project. The survey takes about five minutes to complete and is available online at through Dec. 11.

The village is working with support form the Wisconsin Bike Fed and the National Park Service’s Rivers, Trails and Conservation Assistance program (NPS-RTCA). The effort is part of a larger effort to improve bicycle and pedestrian connectivity throughout Door County, to be funded through a combination of grants and private donations.
