Egg Hunt Roundup

Ready for some outdoor family fun? Here’s a roundup of the community Easter egg hunts taking place this weekend. 

APRIL 15

Algoma Public Library, 1 pm

406 Fremont St. in Algoma

For a twist on the standard hunt, look for Easter eggs hidden inside the library! After you find five eggs, stay to make a fun Easter craft.

APRIL 16

Sister Bay Sports Complex, 10:30 am

2155 Autumn Court

Get your photo taken with the Easter Bunny; hunt for candy-filled Easter eggs; and find the golden-ticket eggs to win a special prize basket. Take your own baskets and bags in which to collect your goodies.

Fitzgerald Park, 11 am

1594 Old School Road in Ellison Bay

Kids 5 and younger will hunt for eggs in the ball field; kids 6 and older will be in the park. There will be a visit from the Easter Bunny and prizes for finding the golden eggs.

Waseda Farms, 11 am and 11:30 am

7281 Logerquist Road in Baileys Harbor

Two egg hunts will be held based on age group: children 5 and younger will be first, followed by kids ages 6-10. The Climate Change Coalition will also be on-site to give away young trees as part of its Big Plant initiative.

Lakeside Park, 11:30 am
Lakeside Park, Hwy 57 in Jacksonport

Registration will open at 11 am near the back covered shelter. Playtime will precede the egg hunt, and Lynn Thorpe will be on-site to do free face painting as time allows. When the hunt starts, kids ages 3-10 may line up at the starting line to search for three eggs that can be turned in for a prize.

Heritage Village at Big Creek, 12-3 pm

2041 Michigan St. in Sturgeon BayThe Easter Bunny has hidden more than 2,000 eggs on the grounds of Heritage Village. Egg hunters will receive a bag with a number on it, and they may collect only that number of eggs to ensure that everyone will get five eggs full of sweets and treats. Compete in the egg toss for a chance to win an extra basket of goodies, and meet the Easter Bunny!
