The Egg Harbor Historical Society (EHHS) will host a program July 5, 7 pm, at the Kress Pavilion, 7845 Church St. in Egg Harbor, that explores nature, cherries, tourism, the arts, ethnic heritages, land preservation and more in the county.
Formed on the edge of the Niagara Escarpment, Door County is a place whose history has been guided by its glacial geography, its earliest Native inhabitants and the European settlers who were drawn to its rich hunting and fishing resources. Local citizens will tell stories about how Door County was shaped as a manufacturing, agricultural and vacation center.
