Elementary School Students Create “Cooperation” Mural

Southern Door’s 4K through fourth-grade students worked during the first weeks of school to create an elementary-level mural showing a message that cooperation is the first Purposeful People character trait being explored during the 2021-22 year.

The students learned and practiced careful tracing and cutting skills and then reviewed art concepts to create a drawing on their hands. 4K students glued shapes; kindergarteners and first-graders did a drawing of something they did during the summer; second-graders could use shape, line and color in their drawing; third-graders could draw in a realistic style or “stitch” style; and the fourth-graders could use the 7 Elements of Art in their work.
