Ellison Bay Hosts 45th Annual Olde Ellison Bay Days

Ellison Bay’s 45th Annual Olde Ellison Bay Days Festival will take place June 24 – 26.

This year’s theme is “Come Join the Fun Up Nort.” Nik Garvoille, creator of the popular “Up Nort” cartoon, which appears in the Peninsula Pulse, will serve as Grande Marshal of the Festival Parade beginning at 11 am Saturday morning, with free balloons for all. The “Up Nort” characters may put in an appearance at the festival as well!

New attractions to the festival will include a “Slow Bike Race” on Mink River Road, a “Balloon Blast Bouncer” and a “Children’s Tent” with art activities, face painting and a variety of games. Also, street dancing and fireworks will take place at the beach Saturday evening.

Unique attractions will return, including the water golf shoot-out off Ellison Bay Park pier with golf prizes for pros and duffers alike. And back by popular demand will be musical entertainment by Copper Box and Julian Hagen.

The festival will also feature prize-winning pies, homemade pasties, strawberry shortcake, root beer floats, as well as traditional brats and beer.

Through the weekend the annual Art Fair will adorn Ellison Bay Park grounds, featuring a wide array of arts and crafts, with live demonstrations by participating artists.

The Ellison Bay Service Club, sponsor of Olde Ellison Bay Days, will sell raffle tickets to support club projects. Prizes will include Green Bay Packer tickets, a salmon fishing charter for two, and a Leinenkugel kayak.

Parking and admission are free. For more information call Carol Lango or Jan Jenkins at 920.854.2621.
