Ellison Bay Hosts Fall Art Crawl

Ellison Bay Pottery

Ellison Bay Arts will host their annual Fall Art Crawl October 22 and 23 from 10 am – 5 pm. Maps will be available at each of the locations listed.

The artists and schools in Ellison Bay created this annual event and map to help visitors experience the rich and diverse arts community in Northern Door.

Clay Bay Pottery (11650 Hwy 42) will showcase their pottery. Cookies, a drawing for art, and pottery and studio demonstrations will all take place.

Linden Gallery (12001 Mink River Road) will serve Chinese tea and display an extraordinary collection of antiques, original art, artifacts, textiles and jewelry from Asia.

Cousin’s Walk (11940 Lakeview Road) will feature a rock painting demonstration as well as a drawing.

Turtle Ridge Studio Gallery (11736 Mink River Road) will host a hot glass bead making demonstration by Lesley Bruce Smith on Saturday from 12 – 4 pm. Sunday from 10 am – 5 pm the public can make their own “Super 8″ bracelets out of pre-cut multi-colored pieces of leather.

Ellison Bay Pottery (12156 Garrett Bay Road) will be demonstrating in the studio, there will be refreshments, and drawing for pottery and the ongoing exhibition: “Rocks.”

Gills Rock Stoneware (12020 Lakeview Road) will display their colorful, functional and decorative pottery along with linens and woodenware. A variety of bread will be baked in their wood fired oven

Newport House Gallery (12044 Highway 42) will offer paintings, carvings, and contemporary folk art along with other antiques along with beautiful gardens

The Clearing Folk School (12171 Garrett Bay Road) will offer refreshments and docent led hikes both days in addition to self-guided walks.

The Savory Spoon Cooking School & Marketplace (Highway 42) will have two cheesemongers to educate and share the Wisconsin artisan cheeses at the school.
