Ellison Bay Native Joins Alzheimer’s Association in New York

The Alzheimer’s Association’s Central New York Chapter has named Martha Hutchinson to the newly created position of community engagement manager.

She will oversee the chapter’s volunteer program, grassroots outreach and engagement with diverse and underserved communities. She will also direct ALZTOGETHER, the chapter’s social-engagement program for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia. ALZTOGETHER facilitates museum visits, cultural experiences and hands-on activities intended to create meaningful connections between individuals living with the disease and their caregivers.

Hutchinson – an Ellison Bay native – joined the Central New York Chapter in 2016 as its volunteer and outreach coordinator. She was previously the youth and community programs manager for the Peninsula School of Art in Fish Creek.
