Ellison Bay Pottery Celebrates American Craft Week

Ellison Bay Pottery is drawing attention to all the wonderful fine craft in Door County during American Craft Week by hosting two events. On Oct. 5 and 12, 12-3 pm, visit the studio to learn about throwing clay on a potter’s wheel from resident potter John Dietrich.

From Oct. 4 to 14, take any old coffee mug (no chips, please) to Ellison Bay Pottery for a “mug upgrade”: You’ll get a 20 percent discount on one of Dietrich’s hand-thrown mugs. At the end of American Craft Week on Oct. 14, Ellison Bay Pottery will box up all the mugs and donate them to Bargains Unlimited, which raises money for Scandia Village and its residents.
