Ellison Bay Service Club Holds Nov. Meeting at The Clearing

The final 2015 membership meeting of the Ellison Bay Service Club (EBSC) will be held at 6:30 pm on Nov. 19 in the Visitor Center at The Clearing, 12103 Garrett Bay Road, Ellison Bay. EBSC President Jennifer Lee will summarize the club’s 2015 activities, including the 19th annual Olde Ellison Bay Days Festival, which set records in attendance as well as net proceeds, which will fund Ellison Bay community enhancement projects as usual. Not as usual, this year’s meeting will also address an unpleasant topic. Sadly, the holiday season is not only the merriest time of year, but also a tragic time in terms of suicide statistics. Monica Nelson and Marsha Wilson, board members of the Prevent Suicide Door County Nathan Wilson Coalition, will provide information about “danger signals” of suicide and possible ways to avert it. The public is invited to join Ellison Bay Service Club members for this timely and important pre-holiday meeting.
