Ellison Bay Tree Lighting is Dec. 6

On Nov. 19, Ellison Bay marked the commencement of the holiday season by “transplanting” a Christmas tree downtown on Hwy. 42. As in years past, the stately spruce was donated by Paul and Lynn Haas of Ellison Bay, and a hardy band of Ellison Bay “lumberjacks” did the planting. The tree-lighting celebration will be held at 5 pm on Dec. 6 with a reading of the first Christmas story and caroling. Everyone is invited to join in the celebration and stay on for a free chili supper at the Mink River Basin Supper Club. Attendees are asked to bring a donation of canned goods for an area food pantry. For more information, call Bob Murray of the Ellison Bay Service Club at 920.421.1753.
