Elvio Cogno Barbaresco Bordini 2008

Elvio Cogno Barbaresco Bordini 2008

Our tasting this week mirrors the Barolo tasting from the previous week. We stay in Piedmont and tried a Nebbiolo from Barbaresco that was stunning.

Appearance: A rich ruby hue

Aroma: Cherry and raspberry aromas with a touch of floral and mineral accents

Flavors: Supple and intense with vibrant core flavors of cherry and spice

Finishing Notes: Combines the intensity with finesse seamlessly, lingering harmonious finish. This wine will age for many years!

Perfect Pairing: This Nebbioli is quite similar in style as the Pio Cesare from last week. We would recommend a meat accompaniment here as well – either a slow roasted beef stew or osso bucco or even a grilled rack of lamb.
