Emerald Ash Borer Threat Grows in Door County

The inexorable march of the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) continues in Door County.

The devastating borer was first identified in Fish Creek in June 2014.  The Village of Egg Harbor was notified by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources on April 19 of the latest discovery of the metallic green EAB at The Landing Resort in the Village of Egg Harbor.

Door County has been under quarantine since the first discovery, which restricts the movement of firewood and ash products.
