Peace of Poetry

Celebrate the legacy of Civil Rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. with Write On, Door County’s Poetry of Peace/Peace of Poetry reading. Guests are invited to share poems of peace and reflect on what peace means in our time in the comfort of the Sister Bay Library. 1 – 2:30 pm.

Emma Toft: One with Nature

Learn more about the life and perseverance of Door County environmental pioneer Emma Toft during a screening of the Wisconsin Public Television documentary, Emma Toft, One with Nature. 2 pm.

All One – Songs of Peace

Join some of Door County’s finest musicians, storytellers, poets and performers for an evening of peaceful reflection during the second in a series of four “Celebrate Community” concerts presented by Door County Medical Center. 7 pm.

Saturday, January 21

Children’s Book Reading

Meet the illustrator behind the new children’s book, I Love You…Unconditionally during a book signing and reading at The Ridges Sanctuary. 11 am.

Winter Whimsy

In the gray days of January, it’s important to look for color where you can find it. Meadows Art Gallery celebrates the vibrancy of color and intricate design during its winter exhibition, Winter Whimsy, which hosts its artists during the opening reception this weekend. 2 – 4 pm.

Vic Ferrari

Join high-energy Fox Valley-based Vic Ferrari Band for an evening of classic rock and a little country at Stone Harbor Resort on Saturday night. 8:30 pm.

NFL Conference Championships

The National Football League is one week closer to Super Bowl LI on Feb. 5. But first, we have to get through this weekend’s conference championship games. The Green Bay Packers take on the Atlanta Falcons at 2:05 pm on Sunday in Georgia. Following their contest, the Pittsburgh Steelers face off against the New England Patriots at 5:40 pm.
