End-of-Life Care to be Discussed on May 21

Sometimes it is difficult to start the conversation with loved ones about end-of-life care. A good start would be attending “Life and Death Matters,” the seminar at Sturgeon Bay United Methodist Church on May 21, 10 am – 2:30 pm. The $5 registration fee covers a light lunch and materials to take home. Speakers will discuss legal matters, planning the funeral, medical considerations at the end of life, how does hospice fit into the picture, and spiritual thoughts and feelings at the end of life. Speakers will include attorney Bob Ross; funeral director Todd Huehn; Dr. Rod Krueger, a discharge planner from the hospital; Marggie Hatala, hospice nurse; Pastor David Leistra, and Bob Nooker, Unity Hospice Chaplain. Call the church at 920.743.3241 for a brochure.
