Enjoy the Fall Colors at The Ridges

Learn about the inner workings of trees and how their fall preparations help them survive the dark, dry days of the winter season at “Fall Colors of The Ridges” on Oct. 10 at 10 am. An interactive classroom session is followed by a hike on the trails. Program fees are $10 for Ridges members, $13 for the general public and $5 for children under 18.

On Oct. 11 at 1 pm, take a guided hike through the open fields and hardwood forest of Appel’s Bluff. Recently acquired by The Ridges, this property provides the opportunity to see a variety of habitats during a moderately easy hike. Fees are $5 for Ridges members and $8 for the general public. Children under 18 hike free.
