“Entangled” Poetry

For the last six years, Meadows Art Gallery has featured the written art of Door County poets in April, National Poetry Month. The theme and title of the show is Entangled, and 20 Door County poets are exhibiting.

Nancy Akerly brings a far eastern approach to her art. She does origami as relief sculpture. She also uses the technique called temari, a form of

Japanese embroidery.

Judith Johnson will show her poetry and short stories in a sketchbook format, where her work will be shown in their stages of development.

Roughly printed paper with corrections, edit marks and personal notes will be shown.

There will be a tea and poetry reading May 10 at 1:30 pm in the dining room of The Meadows at Scandia Village. The public is invited. Refreshments will be served and many of the poets will read their poetry.

Entangled runs through May 10. Gallery hours are 10 am 5 pm every day. The Meadows Gallery is located inside Scandia Village in Sister Bay. Go to the main entrance, enter through the portico, and turn right at the back hall. For more information call 920.854.2317.
