Learn to Build A Boat at the Maritime Museum
Class registration is now open to the public for the Door County Maritime Museum’s popular boat building class. The 2012 class will build the Abenaki, a two-person cedar strip canoe, beginning in mid-January at the museum in Sturgeon Bay.

Kiwanis Club Presents Third Travelogue Program
Nov. 18, the Kiwanis Club of Northern Door is sponsoring an ‘all-you-can-eat’ fish fry from 4 – 7 pm at the Mink River Basin in Ellison Bay. The annual dinner is the club’s primary event for funding the Kiwanis’ scholarship program.

“Forks Over Knives” Opens Green Door Film Society Series
Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn Jr.’s research not only convinced former president Bill Clinton to treat his heart disease in a new way, but it also led to the production of a life-changing documentary film, Forks Over Knives, which will be screened at the first of this season’s meetings of the Green Door Film Society on Nov. 17.

Music & Arts School of Door County Kicks Off Salsa Series
The Music & Arts School of Door County will host a Beginner Salsa Series of workshops beginning Nov. 7. Partners are not required to participate. The series will consist of four progressive group lessons, held every Monday at 7:30 pm for four weeks.
