  • Filmic Trip to France

    On Oct. 24, the Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs of Northern Door invite the public to join them for a film trek to France. Travel filmmakers, musicians and entertainers Monty and Marsha Brown will make an encore appearance to the Travelogue venue, sharing their living and travel experiences in the country and offering a new look at this fascinating and favorite European destination.

    Door County Rubber Stamp & Scrapbooking is hosting a Fall Art Extravaganza from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2. Held at Bridgeport Waterfront Resort in Sturgeon Bay, the guest instructors for the weekend are waiting to share new techniques and products.

    Third Avenue Playhouse (TAP) will bring the Halloween classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show to its silver screen on Oct. 31 as part of its recently formed Donna Film Festival, which plays homage to the playhouse’s much-loved former inhabitant, the Donna Theater.

  • Fall Museum Hours for Ephraim Historical Foundation

    The Ephraim Historical Foundation fall museum hours are Friday and Saturday, 11 am – 4 pm through Oct. 18. The museums will then be closed for the 2014 season but the office will remain open through the winter.

  • Learn by Doing

    Carol and Bill Hoehn were Door County residents for 35 years before he retired as choral director at Sturgeon Bay High School. Carol, meanwhile, had taught dance at the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay and was the director of the university’s dance program.

  • DCMM Announces Merry-time Festival of Trees Events

    After a successful second season in 2013 that featured 32 festively decorated trees, the Merry-Time Festival of Trees returns to the Door County Maritime Museum in 2014.

  • Play Bridge in the Village

    On Oct. 5, Ephraim Village Hall will hold “Bridge in the Village.” The afternoon starts off with a meal at 12:30 pm with bridge beginning at 1 pm. All of the proceeds will benefit The Open Door, an organization that provides respite for caregivers and a fun and safe place for care receivers.
