  • Coffeehouse Concert Series Presents Cowboy Brothers and Small Forest

    Door Community Auditorium (DCA) continues their Coffeehouse Concert Series on Feb. 23 at 7 pm with an intimate concert in the Fireside Lobby by the Milwaukee-based Cowboy Brothers.

  • Count This Penny to Perform at White Gull Inn

    Count This Penny will perform at the White Gull Inn in Fish Creek on Feb. 27 at 8 pm. Count This Penny, comprised of Allen (guitar and vocals) and Amanda (bass and vocals) Rigell and John Ray (banjo), hails from Madison.

    Kim Jensen, owner of Mojo Rosa’s in Egg Harbor, has just hired award-winning, singer-songwriter Danielle French to host open mic night at Mojo’s beginning Feb. 23 at 7:30 pm.

  • Big Mouth Performance Benefits Door-Tran, Inc.

    Door-Tran, Inc. and Third Avenue Playhouse (TAP) will host the 22nd Anniversary Concert of Big Mouth on March 1 at 7:30 pm. TAP’s fundraising concert series presents Jay Whitney, Paul Sowinski, Pat Judy, and Forrest “Woody” Mankowski, the Original Big Mouth quartet.

  • Holiday Music Motel Presents Paul Cebar

    Paul Cebar will stay in Door County after recording a segment for the 30 Minute Music Hour to perform a solo house concert at The Holiday Music Motel on Feb. 3 at 7 pm.

  • Birds of Chicago Make a Winter Stop at DCA

    Door Community Auditorium (DCA) will present Birds of Chicago live on the main stage on Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. Birds of Chicago is the critically acclaimed new collective centered around JT Nero, front man of the Chicago-based band JT and the Clouds, and Allison Russell of the Vancouver-based band Po’ Girl.

  • “Love On Holiday” Includes Community Outreach in Event Lineup

    February 10 – 16 marks the second annual “Love On Holiday” songwriting event at The Holiday Music Motel in Sturgeon Bay. Much like Steel Bridge Songfest, but on a smaller scale, writers from near and far will reside at the motel and spend the week collaboratively writing and recording new material themed for the Valentine’s Day holiday— “Songs of Love…And Love Gone Away.”

  • Freedy Johnston Performs for Coffeehouse Concert Series

    Door Community Auditorium will present a Coffeehouse Concert by acclaimed New York City singer-songwriter Freedy Johnston on Feb. 9 at 7 pm. The Madison and New York City-based Johnston is often described as “a songwriter’s songwriter.”

  • Music Heals Music Series Presents Peter Mulvey at Caffé Tlazo

    On Feb. 8 at 7:30 pm, Peter Mulvey will take the stage at Caffé Tlazo, located at 607 4th Street in Algoma, as part of the Music Heals Music Series. The Good Stuff, Peter Mulvey’s fifteenth record, is a collection of standards that promptly rejects the accepted definition of “standard.

  • Door Community Auditorium Presents Birds of Chicago

    Door County favorites, Birds of Chicago (featuring JT Nero of the rock and soul band JT and the Clouds and Allison Russell of the urban folk band Po’ Girl), take to the Door Community Auditorium.

  • Third Avenue Playhouse Presents Corky Siegel, Dorothy Scott, and Sue Demel

    Corky Siegel, who has earned an international reputation of one of the world’s great blues harmonica masters; Dorothy Scott, a fierce guitar player; and Sue Demel, a seasoned, expressive folk performer, will perform at Third Avenue Playhouse.

  • Door County Musicians Present Hurricane Sandy Benefit Concert

    Local musicians Lynn Gudmundsen, David Hatch, Jess Holland, Nick Hoover, Jeanne Kuhns, Pat Palmer, Marybeth Mattson, Mark Raddatz, Seth Raddatz, and Jay Whitney, and special guest performer James Valcq, are volunteering their time and talent to benefit those affected by Hurricane Sandy.

  • Coffeehouse Concert Series Returns to DCA

    On January 19, the Door County Auditorium launches its annual Coffeehouse Concert Series with the jazz and blues vocals of Erin Krebs Duo. On Jan. 26, Fairland Bluegrass Band and the Cowboy Church House Band take to the Main Stage with the Fish Tale Players for an evening of foot-tapping Gospel favorites at the Door County Opry.

    Just as music soothes the soul, compassion soothes the heart. During life’s most difficult journeys, compassion can be as instrumental as music. Starting Jan. 25, Ministry Door County Medical Center will feature a broad range of musical concerts throughout Door County.

  • Talented Teens Compete for Door County Idol

    Live from Southern Door Auditorium on Jan. 5 comes Door County Idol. Modeled after the poplar reality competition, American Idol – minus Ryan Seacrest’s dramatic pauses, Simon Cowell’s sour attitude, and Steven Tyler’s distracting hair – the event features six talented teens with incredible pipes.

  • Kelly Joe Phelps Features Lap Slide Guitar at White Gull

    Singer, songwriter and guitarist Kelly Joe Phelps will perform at the White Gull Inn in Fish Creek on Jan. 16 at 8 pm. Since Lead Me On, his debut album, came out in 1994, the Pacific Northwest-based Phelps has written and performed some of the most compelling slide guitar music ever recorded.

    One Voice, a local trio, is launching a fundraising campaign with hopes of traveling to care centers and nursing homes to share their love of music and the joy it brings.
