  • World Famous Quartet in Sturgeon Bay

    Performing throughout the United States, Europe and Asia, the Pro Arte Quartet continually delights audiences around the world. They are the resident ensemble at Madison’s Chazen Museum of Art, for which they perform a series of five live, radio broadcasts each year, heard on Wisconsin Public Radio.

  • Dead Horses at Door County Brewing Co.

    Door County Brewing Co. will welcome the Door County Pond Hockey Tournament players and friends with live music Feb. 6 and 7. The Dead Horses band brings an Americana sound from Oshkosh, where they’ve released two albums and earned acclaim throughout the Midwest.

    On Jan. 24 at 7 pm, Katie Dahl will present a concert in the Door Community Auditorium’s (DCA) Fireside Lobby. Based in Baileys Harbor, Dahl is a nationally touring singer-songwriter with numerous songwriting awards to her name.

    On Jan. 17 at 7 pm, Door Community Auditorium kicks off its 2015 Coffeehouse Concert series with a concert by nationally touring cellist and multi-instrumentalist Hans Christian.

  • Winter Concert Series Continues with Jake Armerding

    Singer-songwriter and violinist Jake Armerding returns to the White Gull Inn in Fish Creek with the Aeromatics for a performance on Jan. 21 at 8 pm. The Boston Globe calls singer-songwriter Jake Armerding, “the most gifted and promising songwriter to emerge from the Boston folk scene in years.

  • Dan Navarro at Lost Moth Gallery

    Dan Navarro will play at Lost Moth Gallery on Feb. 7 at 7 pm. For more than 30 years, Dan Navarro has written, sung, played and acted his way through a rich and varied career.

That is a fitting introduction for all the Gary McFarland fans who previously only knew the vibraphonist/composer/arranger through the records he produced in an all-too brief career that ended in his mysterious death at the age of 38.
