Door County summers are made for live music! Check out a show in a bar, a sunset concert in the park in almost any village, a professional performance venue, or a concert in a rustic barn. Door County’s live music scene features every genre, local favorites and nationally touring artists.

  • Big Band Voodoo

    On July 19, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy will bring their modern, high-energy brand of big band swing to Door Community Auditorium (DCA). This nine-man ensemble has forged a one-of-a-kind musical fusion from jazz, swing, Dixieland, and big band music, building its own songbook of infectious original dance tunes.

  • Folk Fest

    Peg Egan Performing Arts Center is holding their Folk Festival with Peter Mulvey, Bill Camplin, Randy Sabien and Prudence Johnson on July 13. Mulvey has lived an artist’s life since adolescence — he was a college theater major, spent time busking in Dublin and founded the Milwaukee band Big Sky, all before his early twenties.

  • A Soulful Duo

    Ministry Door County Medical Center (MDCMC) presents “Music in the Gardens” with Willy Porter and Dorothy Scott on July 15. Porter and Scott will take the stage offering some powerful guitar playing, storytelling and a great mix of folk, blues and alternative music.

  • Bring the Family to Boys Night Out: The Oak Ridge Boys perform at DCA

    “Hello. Sally? This is Richard Sterban of the Oak Ridge Boys.” “Oh my goodness. Your voice is so low!” I can’t help but react to the bass singer’s deep, booming voice, made famous for its “oom-pa-pa-oom-pa-pa-mau-mau” solo in The Oak Ridge Boys’ 1981 single “Elvira.”

  • One Hot Zydeco Swamp/Blues Rock Outfit

    Celebrate the Fourth of July with Copper Box at the Woodwalk Concert Series. Well known to Door County, Copper Box has been performing more than 140 shows a year for Mardi Gras, Oktoberfest, music festivals, performing art centers, and community concerts throughout the US.

  • Jewels in a Small Forest

    The girls of Small Forest – Jeanne Kuhns, Marybeth Mattson and Pat Palmer – are playing their original music out on the patio in front of J Jeffrey Taylor on July 5, 4 – 6 pm.

  • A Restless Spirit

    The Door Community Auditorium (DCA) presents perceptive, provocative troubadour Bruce Cockburn on July 8 at 8 pm. Always a restless spirit, Cockburn is a Canadian singer-songwriter who has worked for 40 years to capture the essence of the human experience and to make that experience better whenever possible.

  • LaFave at the Peg Egan PAC

    The Peg Egan Performing Arts Center (PAC) presents Jimmy LaFave on July 6 at 7 pm. It was in the Oklahoman landscape that LaFave began to define his sound and soak up a combination of his experiences among authentic songwriters from the tradition of Woody Guthrie.

  • The Swedish Rock!

    Ministry Door County Medical Center announces its free concert series Music in the Gardens begins July 8 at 7 pm with Baskery, a Swedish alternative folk rock band.

  • Rising Appalachia Returns to Door Community Auditorium

    Because the Door Community Auditorium audience was delighted with the 2013 performance of Rising Appalachia, the sisters Leah and Chloe Smith will return to Fish Creek on June 29 with the unique sound that has emerged from their Appalachian roots and grown to make a place on a world music stage.

  • A “Riverboat Soul”

    On July 2 at 8 pm, Pokey LaFarge will bring his unique brand of old-timey “riverboat soul” to Door Community Auditorium (DCA). With a style that’s both ragged and polished, LaFarge is a songwriter, bandleader, innovator, and preservationist whose arsenal of talents has placed him at the forefront of old-time American music.

  • Door County’s Got Talent

    Cupcake Heaven in Sister Bay invites everyone to stop in and enjoy live music each week this summer with local singer/songwriter Marybeth Mattson, performing June 21, June 27, every Saturday in July and on Sundays in August from 1 – 3 pm.

  • Picnic and a Show

    Woodwalk Concert Series welcomes Corky Siegel and Howard Levy to their stage on June 27. Opening the show at 7 pm is Jeanne Kuhns and George Sawyn. Siegel has earned an international reputation as one of the world’s great blues harmonica masters.

  • A Capella Concert at the Peg Egan PAC

    The Peg Egan Performing Arts Center (PAC) presents The Nylons on June 29. The Nylons are an a cappella group founded in 1978 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada best known for their covers of pop songs such as “Happy Together,” “Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye,” and “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.

  • Musical Variety at the DCA

    On June 26, New Orleans’ Preservation Hall Jazz Band will bring their joyful brand of Louisiana jazz to Door Community Auditorium (DCA). Since 1961, Preservation Hall Jazz Band has sustained and expanded the rich tradition of jazz that permeates life in the Crescent City.

  • Michael P. Smith Kicks Off the Woodwalk Concert Series

    The 2014 Woodwalk Concert Series opens with Chicago songwriting icon, Michael P. Smith, on June 20 at 7 pm. Smith has been singing and composing songs since the 1960s and is best known for writing “The Dutchman” which was popularized by Steve Goodman and recorded by many, including the Kingston Trio.
