Algoma and Kewaunee Girls Basketball Teams Triumph at State
Congratulations to Algoma and Kewaunee girls basketball teams for becoming state champs in their respective divisions. Both games were held March 16 at the Resch Center in Green Bay.

In a 5-game battle against Nicolet Beach Concessions, the Flying Spaghetti Monsters earned the victory to claim the Monday Night YMCA Volleyball League Championship.

Strivers Capture Four State Titles
The Door County YMCA Strivers Gymnastic Team hosted the 2013 YMCA State Gymnastic Tournament Mar. 15 – 17 at Sturgeon Bay High School and TJ Walker Middle School.

Ride for Nature Introduces Larger Cap for 2013
The Ride for Nature to benefit the Ridges Sanctuary is back to help kick off the Door County summer June 15. Registration for the 25th annual bicycle ride is now open.

Door County Doorfins Succeed at State Tourney
The Door County YMCA Doorfins swim team won 14 championships and set five records at the YMCA State Tournament, held Mar. 15 – 17, at the Schroeder Aquatic Center in Brown Deer.

The Door County Soccer Association invites kids, 5 to 15-years-old, to sign up for the upcoming summer soccer season. Games are played during June and July and the season culminates with a soccer tournament.

Dear Mary Pat, I’m exhausted. When I retired to Door County I was thrilled with the number of organizations, boards, and committees to join – I had no trouble getting involved and making friends.
