Andrew Will Cabernet Franc Columbia Valley 2010 Washington State
After our Petit Verdot tasting last week, we decided to hit up another Bordeaux blend varietal that is seeing more and more time as a leading role. The Cabernet Franc grape has become a more noticeable varietal by itself over the last few years, while maintaining its role as blending partner to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in French and New World red blends.

Dear Mary Pat, I was having dinner with several friends at one of our favorite local restaurants. We like to sit at the bar since it’s a little less formal, a little more comfortable and then we visit with other locals.

The Door County based car club, Cherryland A’s, recently enjoyed their summer tour, stopping at Renard’s Cheese in Maplewood for lunch. Lunch was followed by a tasty pit stop to Cherry De-Lite in Forestville.

Clouds Rolling In: JT & the Clouds Perform in Door County

Door County League Baseball Standings, Week 12
With only two games left in the regular season, Egg Harbor’s 11-1 record guarantees them at least a share of the regular season title. They will take on Sister Bay (9-3) and Washington Island (6-6) one more time before the playoffs begin on Aug. 19.

British Coach McClaren Works with Area Soccer Players
The Silver Streakers soccer team (of Door County Soccer Association) had a guest coach from Birmingham, England, to help them to victory. Marc McClaren and seven other British coaches were in Door County for Door County Soccer Association’s British Soccer Camp.
