Dear Mary Pat, I know that you write about tipping sometimes and that tips can range all over the board. However, I received a tip a couple of weeks ago that has me baffled.

Pat Palmer, co-owner of Novel Ideas in Baileys Harbor, recently visited his favorite breakfast house, the Sandpiper, for one of the last times. Just for fun, he asked the waitress for an extra large blueberry pancake.

Music & Arts School of Door County Kicks Off Salsa Series
The Music & Arts School of Door County will host a Beginner Salsa Series of workshops beginning Nov. 7. Partners are not required to participate. The series will consist of four progressive group lessons, held every Monday at 7:30 pm for four weeks.

Gibraltar Talks Hosts “An Immigrants Journey” with Jody Figgins

Bjorklunden Hosts Two Free Concerts
Lawrence University’s Bjِrklunden will host two free concerts this fall. The first concert will be held Oct. 30 at 1:30 pm and will feature the music of Hungarian composer Franz Liszt in celebration of the bicentennial of his birth and the annual return of Lawrence piano students.
