    Egg Harbor topped Washington Island 5 – 1 in a rematch of last year’s Door County League title game during Sunday’s season-opening action. In other games Sister Bay won the “Grudge” match with Baileys Harbor, 8 – 6 behind three home runs.

  • American Folklore Theatre Announces 2011 Season

    American Folklore Theatre (AFT) has announced its 2011 season, which will run from June 15 until August 27 at the Amphitheatre in Peninsula State Park and move indoors to Door Community Auditorium from September 1 through October 16.

  • Door Shakespeare Features Roaming Performances

    Door Shakespeare will present “Roaming Performances” of William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night on Sundays and Tuesdays this season. The troupe will perform at Bjorklunden in Baileys Harbor, on an estate of over 400 acres of wooden trails and Lake Michigan shoreline.

  • “Waiting for Lefty” Looks at Working Class

    Isadoora Theatre Company’s production of Waiting for Lefty by Clifford Odetts will open on Friday, May 13 at the Ephraim Village Hall. Directed by Ross Dippel, the show will play May 13 – 15 and 19 – 22.

    In observance of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, the Gibraltar Historical Association has planned related events. The first “Gibraltar Talks: Civil War Reflections,” with presenter Joe Knaapen, will take place on May 9 at the Old Town Hall in Fish Creek at 7 pm.
