The Fourth of July – it’s the one weekend (well, besides Pumpkin Patch and Fall Fest in October) that everyone on the Peninsula gears up for.

Door Shakespeare’s education program, Doorways:  Creating Theatre for Children, announces the 2009 schedule of classes and seminars. Doorways has gained a loyal following since its first summer in 2000, and will be expanding to offer more opportunities to the Door County community this summer.

The owners of Bay Shore Outdoor Store and Door County Nature and Travel are pleased to announce a new cooperative effort to bring naturalist lead eco-tours to Door County.

Lawrence University’s July seminars continue with topics such as the ballads and music of North Carolina, digital photography, Franklin Roosevelt, the failures of democracy in two very different places, and the structure of the classic English mystery.

The Savory Spoon Cooking School is offering classes dedicated to a few favorite foods – namely, chocolate and pasta.
