    The 29th annual Door County Folk Festival started on Wednesday, July 9 and will continue through July 13. More than 60 different events are scheduled for the five-day weekend, ranging from dance, music and singing workshops, to dance parties, dance demonstrations, children’s activities, and a fish boil dinner in the Sister Bay Park on Saturday followed by music and dancing on the Sister Bay pier.

    Claudia Russell and her band, the Folk Unlimited Orchestra, will play three times around Door County as part of their Midwest Tour. In addition to the Jacksonport Town Hall Bakery Concert on Friday, June 27 at 7 pm, they will play at Washington Island’s Trueblood Performing Arts Center on Saturday, June 28 at 7:30 pm and then the Fish Creek Concert In the Park Series on Tuesday, July 1 at 2:30 pm.
