  • DCMM Speaker Series Discusses International Ice Patrol

    The Door County Maritime Museum and Friends of the Maritime Museum continue their popular Winter Speakers Series March 25 as the Museum’s Executive Director, Bob Desh, will discuss the International Ice Patrol and the role it has played tracking icebergs since being formed in the wake of the Titanic disaster.

  • Bluebird Presentation at Crossroads March 9

    The Bluebird Doctor returns to Crossroads at Big Creek to present “Learn to Think Like a Bluebird” March 9 at 7 pm. Dr. Kent Hall is Vice-President and Coordinator of Data Collection and Analysis for the Bluebird Restoration Association of Wisconsin (BRAW), and is an engaging speaker with stunning images.

  • Southern Door To Host Chess Tournament

    The Southern Door Chess Club will host its third annual Door County Classic chess tournament March 13 at Southern Door High School. Team trophies will be awarded to the top three teams in three different divisions: k-3, k-6, and k-12, and individual trophies will be awarded at all three levels through 5th place.

  • “The Music Man” Comes to Sevastopol

    Sevastopol School’s production of Meredith Wilson’s The Music Man opens Friday, March 19 at 7 pm in the Sevastopol Elementary Gym. Additional performances will be held at 7 pm on Saturday, March 20, as well as at 9 am and 1 pm on Monday, March 22.

    The Dave Pagels Memorial/ Door County Walleyes for Tomorrow ice fishing derby will be held Feb. 27 at the Wave Pointe Resort and Marina. Fishing entrants can fish from 4 am until the weigh-in at 2 pm.
