Birch Creek brings jazz and classical music to a rustic barn, Midsummer’s Music Festival tours the peninsula for intimate concerts, and the Peninsula Music Festival awes visitors and locals alike at the Door Community Auditorium each august.     Judy and Carl Jackson, who will present their annual benefit concert on Sunday, September 19 at 7 pm at Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church, will combine the sonority of two nine-foot grand pianos for a varied program of appealing music.

    Guitarist and vocalist George Sawyn joins Chicago saxophonist Mike Cosentino for an evening of standards from the Great American Songbook & Beyond on Saturday, September 18 at 7:30 pm at Third Avenue Playhouse.

    John Lardinois may have been born with a fiddle in his hand. Nicknamed, “Fiddlin’ Johnny,” this first class player and Grammy Award nominee returns to Door County to perform at the Belgian Kermiss Festival on Sunday, September 12 at 1 pm.

  • DCA Presents the “3 Redneck Tenors”

    3 Redneck Tenors, brought back to Door County by popular demand, will be performing at the Door Community Auditorium on Sunday, September 5 at 7 pm. The story features three singing cousins from Paris, Texas: Billy Bob, Billy Joe, and Billy Billee.

    Midsummer’s Music Festival performs its Labor Day concert series with six performances from September 1 through Labor Day, September 6. “We are celebrating our 20th anniversary season this year, and we wanted to end the summer with a really festive outpouring of music and talent,” said Jim Berkenstock, Artistic Director of Midsummer’s Music.

    The Rhode Sisters – a feisty folk trio – will perform at the Woodwalk Gallery in Egg Harbor on Sunday, August 1 at 7 pm. The trio includes Alissa Rhode on piano, Molly Rhode on string bass, and Rhonda Rae Busch on guitar.
