On May 15, the world famous Pro Arte Quartet returns to Door County to kick off the Midsummer’s Music 25th Anniversary Season. The Pro Arte Quartet is often praised for its energy, precision and intensity.

Joint Concert with Trumpet Studio and Appletones
Lawrence University’s Bj?rklunden will host a joint concert on May 10 at 1:30 pm. The trumpet studio of John Daniel will present a program of trumpet ensemble music, featuring the composer Eric Morales.

Kids Invited to Join “Art on the Wild Side”

Annual “After Taxes” Concert Held in Algoma
The Algoma Community Band, under the direction of Tom Mueller, will present its annual After Taxes concert on April 29 at 7 pm at the Algoma Elementary School Performing Arts Center.

Birch Creek Receives Arts Board Grant
The efforts of Birch Creek Music Performance Center, Inc. to provide quality music education and serve as an economic engine for the area were recognized with a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board competitive grant program.

Subscriptions and individual concert tickets are on sale now for the 63rd season of the Peninsula Music Festival. The 63rd season will run Aug. 4 – 22 with concerts every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Peninsula Music Festival Scholarships
The Peninsula Music Festival is currently accepting applications for its $3,000 college scholarship. Information and applications are available from the guidance and music departments of each of the Door County Schools as well as the Festival’s website: musicfestival.

The 2015 February Fest concludes on Feb. 28 when Peninsula Music Festival concertmaster Igor Yuzefovich returns to Door County for a recital. Pianist Boris Slutsky will join him.
