Door County String Academy Offers Instruction
On October 3 the Door County String Academy will begin another year of providing string instruction to the youth of Door County. There are still a few spaces open for interested students ages seven to 18.

As night descends over the Door Peninsula, the lamp is lit at Eagle Bluff Lighthouse. The lighthouse will host evening tours September 23 and 24 and October 14 and 15 from 6:30 – 7:30 pm.

Pianist Performs at Bjِrkludnen’s Vail Hall
Lawrence University’s Bjِrklunden will host a free concert August 30 at 8 pm. Allen Bonde, pianist and composer, will perform a concert of his piano compositions including selections from “Reflections in the Spirit,” “A Page a Day for a Year and a Day,” “Through the Looking-Glass,” and “Theater Music.”

WPT to Film Birch Creek Performance in Door County
In July 2010, Wisconsin Public Television (WPT) technical staff and production crew visited the Birch Creek campus near Egg Harbor. With Birch Creek Executive Director Kaye Wagner and Sound Engineer Travis Garrison as guides, WPT staff inspected, measured, photographed, and asked questions relative to Birch Creek’s historic performance barn, lighting and recording equipment, natural acoustics, students and concerts.

1st Annual Luau at Door County’s The Lodge
