Hope UCC Hosts Great Lakes Threshold Choir Gathering
The Circle Singers of Hope UCC in Sturgeon Bay are hosting the second annual Great Lakes Threshold Choir Gathering. Women are invited to attend this Threshold Singers workshop the weekend of June 24 – 26 at Hope United Church of Christ in Sturgeon Bay.

Prestigious Pianist Katie Reimer to Perform at Bjorklunden
Katie Reimer will perform at Bjorklunden in Baileys Harbor on June 21 at 7 pm. Hailed by the New York Times for her “meditative” playing, Reimer is a concert pianist with broad interests as both a soloist and collaborative musician.

“Great Beginnings” at Birch Creek in Egg Harbor
Opening night of Birch Creek’s 36th concert season will be June 23 with a concert entitled “Great Beginnings” at 8 pm. The program will include Carl Maria von Weber’s Concerto for Bassoon and Orchestra in F Major performed by student bassoonist and 2010 Birch Creek Concerto Competition winner Sarah Tako.

Peninsula Symphonic Band Performs at The Crossroads in Sturgeon Bay
The Historical Village at The Crossroads, an educational site of the Door County Historical Society, will begin weekly Sunday programming with an outdoor concert on June 19 from 1:30 – 3:30 pm.

Internationally Recognized Goldstein to Perform in Door County
Midsummer’s Music Festival celebrates its 21st season playing Chamber Music at various locations across the Door Peninsula. They also celebrate Elias Goldstein, a violist who recently placed second in the Primrose International Viola Competition.

Mr. G’s of Door County Presents “Surf’s Up”
On June 18, Mr. G’s, located south of Jacksonport, will host “Surf’s Up,” performed by Daddy D Productions. Tunes from the ‘50s to the ‘80s, beach hits, funny skits, and Wisconsin twists will all be featured.

The Door County String Academy performed their “Jazz in Springtime” concert at Birch Creek on Sunday, May 15. The Door County String Academy is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the community with positive, quality violin, viola, cello and string bass education to Door County youth.

Tutti Strings Studios of Door County Presents Two Recitals
The students Lori Meyer’s Tutti Strings Studios will be performing in two upcoming recitals. About 25 students will be performing. Violin, viola and cello students in Sturgeon Bay and Southern Door will present their “Spring Recital” on Saturday, May 21 at the First Baptist Church in Sturgeon Bay at 2 pm.
