The Ephraim Business Council announced Wednesday that it has canceled this year’s Fyr Bal Festival. The festival was originally scheduled for June 19.
“Out of concern for the health and safety of Ephraim’s community and visitors, the Ephraim Business Council will not be holding the Fyr Bal Festival in 2021,” the organization announced. “While it was a difficult decision to postpone the event for another year, the organization looks forward to safely bringing back the music, artisans, games, dancers, Chieftain, fireworks, and the grand bonfire on June 18, 2022.”
The festival joins Jacksonport Maifest as festivals canceled this year. Organizers postponed the Door County Half Marathon that was scheduled for May 1 due to permitting issues in Peninsula State Park. That race is now scheduled for Oct. 30.
