Ephraim Celebrates Christmas in the Village

Santa Claus will be in Ephraim for the Ephraim Business Council’s Christmas in the Village event Dec. 3.

It will start with free horse-drawn wagon tours, 2:30-4 pm. Santa will arrive at the village hall on a fire truck at 3 pm, and then he’ll be available to meet visitors inside. Also make free holiday crafts in the village hall, 3-5 pm. Beverages, snacks and Ephraim merchandise will be available for purchase there. Meanwhile, Santa’s reindeer and elves will be in Olson Park, 3-5 pm.

Santa will make his way to the Harborside Park gazebo at 5 pm to light the Christmas tree, and then he’ll lead attendees to the shore to light the winter bonfire – a new addition to Christmas in the Village. S’mores kits will be available inside the village hall before the bonfire, and if the weather cooperates, attendees will be able to roast marshmallows for their s’mores at the bonfire.

And new this year will be Spot the Snowmen. As attendees visit the festive open houses at Ephraim businesses throughout the day, they should try to spot the snowmen of various colors, complete the snowmen checklist, and take the checklist to the village hall by 4:45 pm to receive a special Ephraim gift.

Colin Welford will perform a concert of holiday favorites at 5:45 pm at Ephraim Moravian Church, 9970 Moravia St. Tickets are $5 for individuals and $12 for families. Complimentary treats will be served.
