Ephraim Considers Six Alcohol Licenses Tonight

The Ephraim Village Board will hold a special meeting tonight at 7 pm to consider the license applications for sale of beer and wine at six Ephraim businesses. Somerset Inn & Suites applied for a Class “B” license for consumption of beer on or off the premises. The remaining businesses applied for both Class “B” and “Class C” licenses, allowing for consumption of beer on or off the premises and consumption of wine only on the premises while allowing customers to carry out a single opened and resealed bottle of wine if sold with a meal. Those businesses include Chef’s Hat, Good Eggs, Joe Jo’s Pizza & Gelato, Old Post Office Restaurant and Summer Kitchen.

“Applications are in and complete and we’ve got what we need to submit to the board. From there they will take it and run,” said Brent Bristol, Ephraim village administrator. “A lot is going to be determined on how the board wants to rule some of these things and how they’re going to be consistent.” The meeting will take place at the Village of Ephraim Offices at 7 pm.
