The Ephraim Moravian Cemetery’s ninth annual cemetery walks will take place Sept. 9, 1 pm and 2:30 pm, rain or shine. Tickets are required and will be handed out right before the tours. Tickets are free – limited to the first 70 people at the first tour – but donations are appreciated.
This year’s walks will highlight Kittie Nebel Valentine, Everett Valentine, David H. Stevens and Malinda Knudson Mayhew, who were all important to Ephraim’s history. They will be portrayed by local citizens, two of whom are descendants of the people they portray. All, in appropriate costumes, will stand where the individuals are buried to tell about their lives in Ephraim.
Photos, artifacts and refreshments will be available at the Ephraim Moravian Church. In case of rain, the presenters will speak in the church’s sanctuary.
