The Ephraim Business Council teamed up with Peninsula State Park and the Village of Ephraim to gain Bird City designation for the village, which was officially recognized during a ceremony on May 19.

Bird City Wisconsin encourages communities to implement sound bird conservation practices and gives public recognition to communities that protect and enhance bird habitat.

Ephraim volunteer firefighter Scotty Weborg also received an award from Peninsula State Park for outstanding contributions to fire prevention and the Smokey the Bear program.
