Ephraim Sculpture Withstands Hurricane Irma

Category-three hurricane force winds did no damage to Ephraim artist Geoffrey Lardiere’s wall sculpture in Naples, Fla. The sculpture was designed and engineered for category-five hurricane winds. The enormous wall sculpture is in the Permanent Collection of The von Liebig Art Center in Naples, where Lardiere resided and served on the Board of Directors of The von Liebig Art Center during the preliminary fundraising stage for the building. Many Door County residents have their winter homes in Naples. This commission is one of many public art commissions Lardiere has been awarded throughout Florida and the United States.

Geoffrey and Ann Lardiere, co owners of the Lardiere Gallery in Ephraim for 20 years, have agreed to donate 10 percent of each gallery purchase from now through the end of October to the Hurricane Irma relief fund. The Lardiere Gallery & Studio is located on the corner of Highway 42 at 9868 Hidden Spring Road in Ephraim. For more information call 920.854.1885.
