Episcopal Churches of Christ the King Observing Start of Lent

The Episcopal churches of Christ the King and Holy Nativity will observe the start of Lent on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 26, with the imposition of ashes: a traditional service that marks the beginning of Christ’s 40 days of fasting and prayer before His crucifixion and resurrection, celebrated at Easter.

Father Olin Sletto will conduct the solemn service at the Church of Christ the King, at 5th Avenue and Michigan Street in Sturgeon Bay, on Feb. 26, 12 pm; and again at the Church of the Holy Nativity, 3434 Cty V in West Jacksonport, on Feb. 26, 4 pm.
