Evening of Baroque Dance at Bjِrklunden

Lawrence University’s Bjِrklunden will host a joint concert on April 20 at 1:30 pm. Always a favorite, the Lawrence University Bass Studio will perform under the direction of Mark Urness.

At this concert you will experience a stage full of basses playing in concert with repertoire of classical, jazz, and pop tunes.

Additionally, the Lawrence Baroque Ensemble will perform pieces in preparation for their fifth annual Evening of Baroque Dance, which is taking place at Lawrence University on May 17. The program will consist of various Spanish pieces from the baroque era, used both for dancing and entertainment purposes. Joining them will be the professional baroque group, Flying Forms, from Minneapolis, Minn. This free concert is sponsored by the Boynton Society and will be held in Bjِrklunden’s Vail Hall. Entrance to the Bjِrklunden lodge is located on Highway 57, south of Baileys Harbor, across from Anschutz Plumbing.
