Event Offers Safe Space for Differently Abled

Harmonii Gerlach, a junior at Algoma Venture Academy, is hosting a speed-meeting event June 6, 12-2 pm, for people with different abilities at the Wilson’s Wish animal-rescue facility, N7916 Cty AB in Luxemburg. Participants will have the opportunity to interact, socialize and make special connections with others in a neutral, low-stress, safe environment.

“I want to use my passion to give everyone the same opportunity,” Gerlach said. “I’m excited to be creating this meaningful event at Wilson’s Wish.”

The weather-dependent event is free, but participants are encouraged to register in advance. Beverages will be provided, and volunteers will be on hand to assist participants.
