Activities at the Park

April 22, 2018

11am-12pm. Campfire Story. Gather round the fire to hear the classic Dr. Suess story “The Lorax.” Kids can decorate a Lorax wind-sock with truffula trees and swomee swans. Meet at the Nature Center. All ages welcome. Free. Park vehicle sticker required.

1-2pm. Earth Day Hike. Walk a beech-maple forest, identifying trees. Learn about forest health issues and the latest news on rebuilding Eagle Tower. Bring binoculars if you have them. Counts as a Like to Hike activity. Moderate hiking, about a mile, trail may be muddy. Meet at Eagle Panorama, the overlook south of the site where Eagle Tower once stood. Free. Park vehicle sticker required.
