Green Friday

9:30am. Family Science: Evergreens. Join the naturalist in the lab for hands-on activities about evergreen trees. Appropriate for ages 4 and older. Meet at the Collins Learning Center.
10:30am. Evergreen Gathering. Families and individuals are invited to help gather the greens for the holiday decorations at Crossroads. Following the collection will be a fire at our outdoor Council Ring. S’mores fixings provided.
1pm. History of the Christmas Tree. This lecture offers a brief history of Christmas trees and then discusses the evergreen species found at Crossroads.
3-4pm. Evergreen Forest Hike. Join the naturalist on a hike of Forest Trail, where you will visit a number of very different evergreen forests. About an hour; gentle pace. Meet at the Collins Learning Center.
