Pen Park Activities
July 13, 2019
8:30-9:30am. Peninsula: Backwards and Forwards Coffee Klatch. Drop by the Nicolet Beach Shelter for a casual talk with the park naturalist about park history and news. Learn the legacy of Horseshoe Island and why ash trees are being cut. Bring your own “cup of Joe.”
10-11:30am. Hike Skyline Trail. Meet at Skyline parking lot on Shore Road. Join the park naturalist for a hike up to Sven’s Bluff. Identify trees and learn a bit of park history along the way. About 1.5 miles, moderate hiking.
10am-4pm. Mysteries from the Past. Stop by the Nature Center to identify gadgets from the past. Hints provided. Prizes for trying.
Programs are free and open to the public. State park vehicle sticker required.
