Evergreen Hike

Start December off right by attending a program at Crossroads at Big Creek. Enjoy a Hike to the Evergreen Forests on Dec. 1, 10 am. This hike will visit several evergreen forests, and participants will learn how these trees adapt to winter. Meet at the Collins Learning Center.

Get in the holiday spirit with the Friends of Crossroads on Dec. 3, 5:30 pm. Join the Friends as they trim the trees and deck the halls of the Collins Learning Center. Enjoy a potluck and bring a dish to pass. The main dish and cider will be provided.

Experience the stars with the Door Peninsula Astronomical Society on Dec. 5, 7 pm. The group will view and discuss the Great Courses’ “Dark Matter, Dark Energy: The Dark Side of the Universe” lecture on galaxies and clusters by Sean Carroll. Refreshments will be provided. Meet at the Stonecipher Astronomy Center.

Crossroads at Big Creek is a donor-supported learning center comprising the Big Creek, Ida Bay and The Cove Preserves. The Collins Learning Center, located at 2041 Michigan in Sturgeon Bay, is open 2–4:30 pm daily and during scheduled activities. All programs are free and open to the public.
