Evers Announces Cultural-Organization Grant Program

Gov. Tony Evers has announced the launch of a $5 million cultural-organization grant program to assist such groups in the state that have been affected economically by the pandemic

Administered by the Wisconsin Department of Administration (DOA), the program provides eligible organizations with grant awards of up to $250,000 to cover pandemic-related impacts such as lost revenue, increased workers compensation costs, cleaning and sanitization, and purchases of services or equipment to facilitate telework. The federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act is funding this effort.

Eligible organizations must have a primary mission to produce, present or exhibit cultural disciplines such as music, dance, theater, literature or the visual arts, or items of environmental or scientific interest. Full program details, eligibility standards, an application and contact information are available at doa.wi.gov. Applications are due to the DOA by Sept. 30, 2 pm.
