Everyone Welcome to First Meeting of Door County Thrive

Could Door County be one of the next pioneering communities to pave the way in the areas of renewable and sustainable living? There are many people within the Door County community wanting to organize change, speaking up about climate change, seeking out alternative power sources, growing and buying local food, using local resources, recycling, composting and gardening. Join others in organizing and creating Door County Thrive – a community of activists uniting to form a sustainable and thriving Door County. A meeting will be held on Jan. 19 at 7 pm at Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Ephraim.

This meeting is meant to be a visioning meeting aimed at gathering new ideas around sustainability and resiliency initiatives within Door County. Come engage in discussion around how you would like to see Door County’s green practices develop. Everyone’s ideas are important and by brainstorming together the group will be able to help already existing eco-organizations hear from the larger community and see if there’s interest in an action-oriented group of new leaders to get some projects started.
