The 2021 season at Fine Line Designs Gallery will continue with Exhibit II, on display through Aug. 9. The opening festivities will continue July 9, 1-2 pm, when mixed-media artist Nathan Bennett will demonstrate hot-process patina on bronze at the gallery (finelinedesignsgallery.com), 10376 Hwy 42 in Sister Bay.
The natural environment, life’s challenges, and the human struggle for success, well-being and happiness all influence and inspire the work of glass artist Mariel Bass, one of the exhibit’s featured artists.
Bennett uses the complex medium of hot patina on bronze to depict forests, figures and creatures, and he creates many of his pieces in silhouette.
Paintings by Door County oil painter Pamela Murphy originate in old postcards and photographs, which she separates from their context and presents on a rich, textured surface.
