“Lifted Fog” by Jonathan Wilde, one of many artists featured at Exhibit II.
Edgewood Orchard Galleries will host an opening reception for its second exhibit of the season on Saturday, June 12 from 4 – 7 pm, including an artist presentation at 5 pm. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served and the public is welcome. Running through July 13, the exhibit will feature work by six artists working in different mediums.
Door County painter Judi Ekholm has created a beautiful collection of landscape paintings for the exhibit, including her signature poppies scenes. John Sayer’s artwork, featured on the cover of the current Edgewood Orchard Gallery Calendar, includes a distinctive red background resulting in a series of crisp and vibrant paintings. Jonathan Wilde captures rural Wisconsin landscapes and wildlife in his diverse paintings.
Sculptor William Jauquet’s new works include a large steel Rooster, a woman playing a violin, and an ornate Indian Chief, as well as a large cowhide painting entitled “The Hunt.”
Jeweler Ingrid Regula is known for the coloration she achieves with her pieces, applying many coats of different colors.
Adding an elegant and fluid component to the exhibit is the crystalline-porcelain pottery created by artist Tim Marcotte.
