Exhibit IV Reception at Edgewood

Edgewood Orchard Galleries will host the Exhibit IV reception on July 16, 4-7 pm. This exhibit features the artwork of painters Michele Dangelo, Rebecca Kinkead and John A. Sayers, jeweler Marcia McDonough, and steel furniture maker Jim Rose. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served and the artists will speak about their artwork at 5 pm in the gallery courtyard.

“Steadfast” by Michele Dangelo.

Dangelo’s distinctive painting style centers around a basic icon like a house or a boat – infused with vigorous but reserved energy. “I delight in surprising viewers with paintings that are motionless in time and devoid of any particular narrative,” said Dangelo.

Kinkead’s paintings are an attempt to explore a collective human experience. She uses a combination of oil, wax and marble dust to create magical and joyous depictions of spontaneous movement.

A long-time favorite, Sayers began showing his work at Edgewood in 1983. He begins each painting on a red-toned canvas then uses many shades of color on his palette to achieve the desired effect.

California jeweler McDonough will show her Mack & Bancker jewelry collection, featuring unique interchangeable necklace strands and centerpieces.

Rose lives and works in Forestville. He hand builds furnishings inspired by early American furniture and historic quilts with found rusted and painted steel.

Exhibit IV will be displayed through Aug. 3. Edgewood Orchard Galleries is located at 4140 Peninsula Players Road, midway between Egg Harbor and Fish Creek. For more information, call 920.868.3579 or visit edgewoodorchard.com.
